Mozartkugeln

Julian Rachlin, conductor & violin

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:
Overture from the opera Le nozze di Figaro
Violin Concerto no. 5 in A major, ‘Turkish’

Symphony no. 29 in A major
Symphony no. 35 in D major, "Haffner"

Symphony no. 40 in G minor (removed from program)

The symphony series of the Turku Philharmonic this spring concludes with superstar Julian Rachlin appearing as both violin soloist and conductor. It’s all about Mozart: the sprightly overture to Le nozze di Figaro, a dramatic violin concerto and the beloved G minor Symphony, one of the finest items in the symphonic repertoire. It represented “Greek light and grace” for Robert Schumann, while Albert Einstein felt that there are moments in it that “penetrate the depths of the soul”.

Please note, the programme of the concert has changed:

The Mozartkugeln concert will have a new program. Mozart's 40th symphony will be replaced by Mozart's symphonies no. 29 and 35.
