Turku Cathedral is an eminently suitable venue for the brilliance of Baroque music. The programme features some of the best-known composers of the era. Pachelbel’s Canon is a hit whose theme is one of the most recognisable melodies in all classical music. Bach’s profuse and polyphonic music is contrasted with the ornamentations and simpler harmonies of Vivaldi. The programme was planned by musicians of the Turku Philharmonic.
The length of the concert is approx. 1 h. No intermission.
