Anne Eirola started playing the flute at the age of 10. She entered the Sibelius Academy in 1975 as a student of Ilpo Mansnerus and Mikael Helasvuo. She furthered her studies in New York in 1978 with Samuel Baron, in Freiburg and Basel with Aurèle Nicolet, and in Zürich with André Jaunet.
Alongside the orchestra Eirola has always been an active chamber musician. From 1980 Eirola has held the position of sub-principal at the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, in addition to performing actively as a soloist with the TFO and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
