Ilana Gothóni

Ilana Gothóni began her violin studies at the Turku Conservatory under the guidance of Grazyna Zeraska-Gebert and later continued her studies as a student of Aleksander Vinnitski. At the Kuhmo Violin School, Gothóni studied under Zinaida Gilels, Pavel Vernikov, and Ilja Grubert, and at the Sibelius Academy under the guidance of Kaija Saariketo.

Gothóni graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Yair Kless as her teacher. After graduating, she secured a position as principal second violin in the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ilana Gothóni is actively involved in chamber music, performing with the Turku Ensemble and as a member of the Art Soup association. Additionally, she teaches Ashtanga and Yin Yoga, specializing in a concept she calls "musical YIN," where she combines solo violin music with Yin Yoga.
