Juha-Pekka Olli started to play violin at the age of five, first at a private teacher and then moving on to the Sibelius Academy. He got his diploma in 1989. According to Olli himself, he started working for Turku Philharmonic Orchestra in October 1986 for a two week “gig”. He is still on that same gig. He says he didn’t choose the orchestra, the orchestra chose him.
He recieved the golden badge of merit from Finlands Symphony Orchestra Society in 2016. He likes to travel and is an avid sport spectator.
