Nobu Takizawa

Nobu Takizawa began playing the violin at the age of 4 in Tokyo and studied at the Toho School of Music. During her studies, Nobu participated in one orchestral project where Olli Mustonen was the soloist. The inspiring Finnish artist motivated her so much that she wanted to continue her studies in Finland. In 2001, she began her master's studies at the Sibelius Academy under the guidance of Seppo Tukiainen, Professor Mi-Kyung Lee, and Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. She graduated with a master's degree in music in 2011. During her studies, Nobu worked as a substitute at the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Finnish National Opera. She has been playing with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008. She is also married and has a young son.
