Caleidoscope ends Turku Philharmonic Orchestra´s chamber music series in autumn

Turku Philharmonic Orchestra´s last Chamber Music Concert in autumn is Caleidoscope on the 10th of December at 3 pm in the Turku Castle. The orchestra´s musicians Ilana Gothóni & Marjaana Holva, violin, Helinä Nissi, viola, Katja Kolehmainen, cello, Matti Kariluoto, double bass, Olli Leppäniemi, clarinet, Etienne Boudreault, bassoon ja Tanja Nisonen, horn, perform in the concert.

The concert starts with Franz Schubert´s Octet in F Major. The piece is one of the many works that has earned him a place in the history of music. After the intermission we will hear German contemporary composer Jörg Widmann´s Octet. The composer based his Octet in Schubert´s Octet. Etienne Boudreault has planned the concert´s program.

The orchestra´s musicians perform programmes that they have planned themselves also in the Chamber Music Concerts in spring: Tour de force 3rd of March, 360° 8th of April and Requiem for Fanny 6th of May.
