Integration Services

The Immigration Services’ Integration Training for Migrants (KOTO) project organises Finnish language study, and group activities that promote acclimatisation, familiarisation and integration into Finnish society.

The activities are carried out in cooperation with various authorities and voluntary bodies.

The client groups are predominantly immigrants who have lived less than three years in Finland and who are immigrants outside the labour force, either temporarily or permanently, and for whom there is no other similar activity. Those considered as belonging to this group include people such as housewives and the elderly. The objective is to guide immigrants to normal services and to other societal activities, so that they can fully participate in Finnish life as they wish.
