Turku Philharmonic Orchestra invites everyone to sing

Turku Philharmonic Orchestra organizes the concert Sing Along @ Hansa Saturday 20th May at Hansa shopping center. Orchestra is conducted by chief conductor Leif Segerstam. On stage is also Chorus Cathedralis Aboensis and Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. The public is invited to sing along, and lyrics are handed out to public before the concert.

 

The audience can sing along in the finale of Beethoven’s 9th Symhony “Ode to Joy” and Sibelius’ Finlandia. The program also includes orchestra pieces that celebrate the coming spring and Finland’s 100 years of independence, for example Frühlingsrauschen by Christian Sinding, Rêverie by Alexandr Skrjabin and Porilaisten marssi.

 

Concert is part of Turku philharmonic Orchestras Change-theme. Change is part of the program of Finland’s 100 years of independence. Sing Along @ Hansa is linked to the theme Together – together we build a living program.
