Psst! This one's already gone.
Olli Mustonen, conductor
Roi Ruottinen, cello
Turku Philharmonic Orchestra
Paul Hindemith: Konzertmusik op. 50 for brass and strings
Max Bruch: Kol Nidrei for cello and orchestra
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony no. 2 D major op. 36
Olli Mustonen has created a concert programme with music from German composers. Wonderful works of Hindemith and Bruch are less frequently heard in Turku. Konzertmusik is a demanding and compelling piece of music. Impressive “Kol Nidrei”, all vows, is interpreted by the orchestra´s own principal cellist Roi Ruottinen. The evening ends with familiar Beethoven, and this time we will hear his brisk second symphony.
The length of the concert is about 1 h 15 min. No intermission.
