Arvo Pärt: Trisagion
Giacomo Puccini: Messa di Gloria

Puccini’s five-movement Mass and Pärt´s Trisagion lead into Good Friday and the Easter weekend. Legendary Estonian conductor Tõnu Kaljuste previously conducted the Turku Philharmonic in 2004 and now makes a long-awaited return. Puccini is a well-known and beloved opera composer, and his Mass is not entirely without operatic influences. It is a colourful and lively work rich in musical surprises, performed by a four-part choir and tenor and baritone.

Soloist change: tenor Markus Nykänen replaces Joska Lehtinen.
