Clara Schumann was one of the top concert pianists of her day, and both she and her husband Robert were prolific composers of the Romantic era. Irina Zahharenkova, winner of several international competitions, performs Clara’s melodically rich and fascinating Piano Concerto. The last symphony concert of the season is conducted by Olari Elts, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. The works bookending the concerto were selected to celebrate the brightness of spring.
