French composer Henriette Renié was a pioneer of music for the harp. Her music reflects the unique sound and virtuoso potential of the instrument. Her Harp Concerto is performed by award-winning harpist Emmanuel Ceysson, recently engaged by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also played with the Paris Opera orchestra and the orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, besides appearing as a soloist around Europe. Upbeat music by Ibert and Dvořák completes this programme conducted by Alpesh Chauhan.
