An early Sunday evening with fascinating works by 20th-century composers. The enchanting oboe solo Spell Song opens the programme, which continues with the captivatingly beautiful Tenebrae by Golijov for string quartet. Pärt’s Fratres is an example of the composer’s meditative ‘tintinnabuli’ style. After the interval, the programme concludes with Shostakovich’s best-known chamber music work.
The length of the concert is about 1 h. No intermission.
