The classic British animated film The Snowman, based on a book by Raymond Briggs, tells the nostalgic tale of a boy and a snowman who go adventuring on Christmas night. The charming music of Howard Blake spins a fairy-tale atmosphere. Directed by Dianne Jackson and premiered in 1982, the film won a BAFTA award for best children’s film. At this concert, the film will be screened to live orchestral accompaniment.
