Sergei Prokofiev: Sinfonia Concertante in E minor op. 125
Petr Tchaikovsky: Symphony no 4 in F minor op. 36
Daniel Müller-Schott is one of the world’s hottest cello stars, praised for his expressive capabilities for instance by the New York Times. Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante is in his core repertoire; he has also recorded the work. Tchaikovsky himself regarded his Fourth Symphony as one of his best achievements. This programme of Russian symphonies is conducted by our artistic director Olli Mustonen.
