Known as a pioneer of his instrument and for his phenomenal performances and innovations, Hardenberger carries the listener from Haydn’s brilliant classic to Planel’s concerto written in the 1960s and from Joni Mitchell’s folk rock hit to Lundgren’s jazzy number and Argentinean tango by Piazzolla.
