Eija Huhtala-Krapu

Born in Kurikka, Finland, Eija Huhtala-Krapu studied cello play at a music academy in Southern Ostrobothnia as a student of Jussi Peltonen. She continued her studies at the Turku Conservatory of Music in the class of Timo Hanhinen. After graduating she entered the Sibelius Academy as a student of Martti Rousi. Huhtala-Krapu received her Master of Music in 1999, and since 2000 she has worked as cellist at the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. She is known as a nuanced and diverse musician.
