Maurice Ravel: Ma mère l’oye, suite for orchestra

Antonín Dvořák: Symphony no. 6 in D major op. 60

Britten’s Serenade is a handsome eight-movement song cycle formed of six songs and two horn solos as bookends. Topi Lehtipuu is one of the most prominent Finnish opera singers of our day and has performed at distinguished venues from New York to Sydney. Jukka Harju has placed near the top at several international competitions for his instrument. Ravel’s Mother Goose is imaginative as only his music can be, while Dvořák is represented by his Symphony no. 6, which propelled him to international fame.
