Permanent vacancy, full time
 

Audition dates

Monday 25^th and Tuesday 26^th of November, 2019. The audition will be held at Turku Concert Hall.

Audition Repertoire

• W. A. Mozart: Clarinet Concerto in A, K. 622 (whole Concerto)
• C. Debussy: Première rhapsodie

If a member of the orchestra will be chosen to the vacancy of Principal Clarinet, his/her vacancy can be filled by this audition.

CO-PRINCIPAL TIMPANI

Permanent vacancy, full time

 

Audition dates

Monday 18^th of November, 2019. Pre-audition rehearsals with orchestra’s instruments will be arranged on Sunday 17th of November. The audition will be held at Turku Concert Hall.

Audition repertoire

Orchestral excerpts will be sent to selected applicants after the closing date.

Closing date for applications

Mon 7^th of October 2019 at 23 PM (GMT+2 Finnish time). Delayed applications will not be taken into consideration.

Please include in the application a link to a video, which includes applicant’s performance of the following excerpts:  
1) A. P. Mäenpää: Darth Vader Meets Lohengrin in Finlandia
2) B. Lylloff: Århus etude No. 9 for snare drum
3) D. Shostakovich: Orchestral Suite from the ballet The Bolt op. 27a, 7th mvt ”The Appeaser”

The video must be recorded with one camera and the player and the instrument in the picture throughout. The video including all three excerpts should be filmed without cuts in one entirety. Post-processing of the sound and/or picture is prohibited. A reasonable quality should be aimed at. For voice quality reasons microphone can be adjusted and it’s placement can be changed between the excerpts. Please upload the recording online and send us the link with your application.

If a member of the orchestra will be chosen to the vacancy of Co-Principal Timpani, his/her vacancy can be filled by this audition.
